My Story

Hello, I'm Kara!

Children are superstars! They are resilient, hard-working learners who sometimes need encouragement and someone to inspire their learning and ignite their confidence to reach their goals. Their superpower is their ability to learn.

My passion for teaching started in 1997 when I got my first job as a class teacher. I always saw the potential in every child I taught and believed every child could learn. After over twenty years of teaching, I have experienced working with kids from various backgrounds, abilities, and age groups. I know that every child CAN learn, but that they have their own unique learning styles, and needs. It is from that understanding that my desire to help children with their learning grew and Just 2 Imagine Tutors was created. As an experienced teacher, private tutor, primary specialist and parent, I know the challenges that children face in education and how critical literacy skills are.

Today I'm focussing my energy, my knowledge of how children learn and my years of experience to help children become confident learners by offering them the quality support they need. I encourage independent learning, and a growth mindset while guiding children on the tools to achieve their reading, writing and spelling goals.

What amazed me about starting my online tutoring business was the positive impact I have on individual children's learning and how much kids love their lessons on zoom!
